Custom Goods Logistics Nearly Doubles Invoice Processing Throughput with Vroozi
Industry
Third-Party Logistics
Challenge
Across 36 warehouses nationwide, Custom Goods Logistics needed more consistent purchasing controls and invoice approvals. AP staff entered invoice data into NetSuite by hand, while accrual reporting often required piecing together information from emails.
Results
With Vroozi, invoice processing rose from about 3–4 to 6–7 invoices per coordinator per hour. Custom Goods now manages AP and procurement with a four-person team and estimates six-figure annual savings, with clearer spend and accrual reporting.
Key Product
Vroozi Procure-to-Pay
It’s a game-changer on the reporting side. For our accrual process, I’m able to grab everything that’s in Vroozi for any time period instead of sifting through emails. We’re able to pinpoint to the penny how much needs to be accrued.

When I create a user profile, I give them their threshold and their spending limits. That alone helps save costs.

Custom Goods Logistics
Custom Goods Logistics is a third-party logistics provider based in Carson, California. Its 600-plus employees support warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, and U.S. Customs examination services across 36 warehouses nationwide. The Challenge
With 36 warehouses nationwide and no separate procurement department, Custom Goods Logistics needed more consistent purchasing controls, invoice approvals, and financial visibility across its distributed operations. Processes varied by location. AP staff entered invoice data into NetSuite by hand, and preparing accruals could mean reconstructing approvals from emails.
The Solution
Custom Goods brought purchasing and AP into Vroozi Procure-to-Pay. Spending thresholds and approval routing guide purchases at each location. The Vroozi Marketplace, known internally as “Shopper View,” gives operations teams access to more than 100 supplier catalogs from one screen.
Automated data capture handles much of the invoice entry. AP reviews invoices in Vroozi, while the integration moves approved invoice data into NetSuite. Participating suppliers can use the Supplier Portal to raise invoice and payment questions directly with Custom Goods.
“It pretty much auto-populates most of the data. The AP team just has to review and maybe tweak a few things before they approve.” — Ziyad Zreik, Custom Goods Logistics
The Results
Faster invoice processing
AP coordinators now process approximately 6–7 invoices per hour, up from 3–4 before Vroozi—nearly double the previous pace. Work previously handled by about eight people is now managed by a four-person AP team that also oversees procurement. Custom Goods estimates six-figure annual savings.
Clearer controls and financial visibility
Spending thresholds route purchases to managers for approval, and facility managers can code and approve invoices in the platform. Reporting shows spend by vendor, item, and operator. For accruals, Zreik can pull the relevant data from Vroozi for a selected period and calculate the amount down to the penny.
Looking Ahead
Custom Goods and Vroozi recently completed a project to add part-number tracking across the platform. The teams continue to explore where invoice data capture can remove more manual work.
